Compensation: $85,000 to $100,000 plus bonus
Our client, an established organization, is seeking an senior financial manager to provided leadership and direction to the Finance and Accounting teams. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing and maintaining a high performance team, analyzing and monitoring cash flow, ensuring the timeliness, accuracy and integrity of reporting to senior management, including P & L statements and job costing and sub-ledger reconciliations. In addition, this position will be accountable for internal controls, efficiencies recommendations and improvements and providing training opportunities to meet these objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a CA designation with larger private or public company client experience at the senior manager level or a CA with 5 year's post designation experience in a mid-to-senior level accounting role. Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is desirable but not required. Strong computer knowledge with a proficiency in Excel is key to this role. You have the demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals, provide strong mentorship and can engage your staff to meet organizational goals and objectives. You are analytical, possess exceptional problem solving skills and have experience with complex accounting issues. With proven prioritization and time management skills, you are efficient and can multi-task easily to meet tight deadlines. You have an eye for continuous improvement and thrive on the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects. Travel is within Canada is required on a quarterly basis.
