Founded in 1962, ImagineAbility Inc. (formerly Versatech Industries Inc.) is a social enterprise organization supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is "to help people with intellectual disabilities to gain contributive and valued roles in society through meaningful employment and other supported activities."
Reporting to the President & CEO the Director of Business Operations will be responsible for the delivery of the human resource and business objectives outlined in the company Strategic Plan for the Contract Manufacturing/Filling, Recycling, Document Destruction and Food Service businesses. Working effectively and in concert with the rest of the Management Team and the Director of Operations provides leadership in the support of our four pillars:
1. Respectful workplace

Responsibilities:
· Business Planning
o Create a rolling 12 month business plan
o Achieve the revenue, expense and profit objectives
o Provide regular updates for the CEO and managers
· Employee Well Being
o Seek and employ input and feedback
o Delegate tasks and responsibilities
o Mentor, develop and train your managers
o Recognize performance
o Promote teamwork
o Provide ongoing communication to team members
· Performance Excellence
o Develop new business opportunities
o Ensure an effective organizational structure
o Ensure that Best-Practices are implemented
o Meet all personal business objectives
o Ensure all health and safety standards are met
· Business Analysis/Performance Indicators/reporting
o Identify areas of your business that require regular and occaisional business analysis
o Determine the measures that will define your business performance standards
o Report to the President & CEO on a monthly basis
· Customer / Job Profitability
o Analyze the profitability of each customer
o Analyze the profitability of each job for each customer
o Adjust pricing to ensure each customer and job meets the standard for profitability
· Implementation of Our Performance Management System
o Schedule regular review times with each of your managers
o Ensure your managers are using the performance management system
o Provide the CEO with a monthly update on how you and your managers have used the performance management system
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years in an operational supervisory role
· A university degree or college diploma in business administration preferred
· Interpersonal, analytical, financial management, planning, project management skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects
· Ability to change direction on the fly
· Ability to build a team
· Ability to set priorities
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to create policy and procedure
· Ability to work with a high performing team
· Ability to write business plans
Soft Skills:
· Strong sense of urgency
· Ability to be persuasive
· Passion for our "Mission"
· A problem solver
