The University of Winnipeg Foundation has immediate openings for the following positions:
ENDOWMENT FUND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Reporting to and working in consultation with the President and CEO of The University of Winnipeg Foundation, the Endowment Fund Development Officer will develop and implement a comprehensive fund development program seeking private support for the University of Winnipeg Foundation's Endowment Fund.
Responsibilities
- Work with the President and CEO to develop a Strategic Plan to grow the Endowment Fund
- Develop and implement an overall process for systematically increasing the level of endowed funds to a minimum of $10,000 on a priority basis
- Secure new gifts to the endowment fund
- Meet with community leaders, deans, directors, faculty members, and staff members to determine fundraising priorities
- Support Foundation Board Members and the President and CEO in solicitation activities
- Coordinate Recognition and Stewardship activity in cooperation with the Donor Stewardship Officer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field AND a minimum of five years of demonstrated success as a development officer
- Must have knowledge of individual, corporate, and foundation fundraising techniques
- Requires a high level of written and oral communication skills, persuasiveness, imagination and insight into developing relationships with individuals and donors
